Introduction to S3Client

S3Client is an application you install on your computer to access Amazon S3 and S3-compatible services. Its two panes let you browse local files, buckets and objects, then copy or move files between these locations. You can also synchronize two folders, view previews, edit object properties and manage buckets. The operations pane lets you track these actions and inspect errors.

The provider preset supplies the initial account settings. Capabilities describe the features supported by the service; policies specify the options it accepts. S3Client uses these settings to decide which commands and options to offer. Your credentials must also authorize the actions you request. See account configuration to set up access.

The guides explain how to use S3Client commands and settings and check their results. S3 concepts are introduced where they help you interpret displayed information, choose an option or understand an action’s consequences.

S3Client is a modern version of DragonDisk, developed by the same author.
