Modify and clean up groups of objects

The commands in this section traverse objects in an S3 bucket or folder, including subfolders. They can process objects that have not been loaded or are not visible in the browser.

• Clean up objects, versions and incomplete uploads covers selective deletion and purging.

In the S3 pane, select one bucket or current logical folder and use its context menu. Show versions changes the available commands: some process current objects, while others process current and noncurrent versions. Historical folder rows and delete markers cannot be roots for recursive processing.

Scope depends on the selected location and dialog options. Browser display filters do not limit recursive processing. Modification filters and previews belong to Modify child objects… and Modify child object versions…; cleanup commands have their own criteria.

Account capabilities describe the functions supported by the service. Your credentials authorize reads, writes and deletions. If an error occurs or the operation is interrupted, changes already applied remain in place.
